MHA #16 - Saturday Morning

When Connor awoke that morning it was to two nearly immediate realizations. One was he was lying on the floor by the couch tangled up in his usual blanket. Two was Rex who was sitting on the back of the couch chirping curiously from his perch.

"Awwww Rex, come on just let me sleep a little more" he said trying to pull the covers over his head. Connor vaguely remembered falling asleep on the couch watching a movie with Nick during their sleepover. He must have been tossing and turning like usual and fallen off the couch at some point. Not that it was anything new.

"Nick? You still asleep?" he called out to Nick who he assumed was under the tangle of blankets still on the couch.

Nick stirred slightly at the mention of his name, "Connor?" he blinked a little, "is it morning already?" he didn't want to get up, he wanted to sleep in a lot longer, the blankets were comfortable.
